Panasonic Lumix Camera Review

Panasonic designed this as a mid range low price, point and shoot product, for the person that is looking for good pictures, without the set up fuss; but is it good value for the price? Here are six features that you should think before buying.

1. For the size of this camera, to have sixteen Megapixels is very useful, though not literally needful to make good prints of you photos. The advantage of this comes when cropping pictures, as it allows you to sound ability when you make a print, and this also gives you greater flexibility when using the zoom function, as you can greatly increase your zoom if you reduce your resolution to three Megapixels.

2. Panasonic have used the top ability 'Leica' lens for this camera, which should give optimum quality.

3. The camera has an inbuilt image Stabiliser, which adjusts to any little movement or shake when taking a picture. This is needful software for a digital with the capacity for this much zoom, as it maintains photographic quality.

4. The sharp auto mode setting, makes sure that you get the precise settings for the type of shot that you are taking. There is a number of pre programmed modes as well, which you can use, depending on the conditions and event that you are attempting to photograph.

5. The Camera has the ability to take High Definition videos, and the image up- loader makes it easy to change them to your Laptop. This is a good feature if you want to share your work with the world on social Networking channels.

6. If you are not happy with a particular picture you have taken, then there are facilities built-in to the camera to adjust, along with white balance, I S O levels (adjusts picture to manufactures Standard) and exposure compensation.

This is a value for money camera, but there are a few issues that could be improved. There is no button dedicated solely to video. For most citizen this may be a small point, but it does mean that you have to take time putting it into video mode, which could waste needful seconds. The picture ability whilst good and consistent, for no apparent reason is not outstanding. The door to the compartment that holds the battery is a little flimsy, and has not been designed for long-term use. Marks out of ten: a worthy eight.

I've owned the Panasonic Tc-P65S2 65-Inch 1080p Plasma Hdtv for two weeks and all I can say is wow. The photo ability of the Panasonic Tc-P65S2 is outstanding! I'm fairly surprised that the photo ability of the Panasonic Tc-P65S2 is of course great than my Sharp Aquos. The black levels on the Tc-P65S2 65-Inch 1080p Plasma Tv are very detailed. The out of box video settings are set to "vivid". Although that makes the colors "pop", it does distort flesh-tone colors. That said, I used the Dvd Hd Basics Calibration Disc to calibrate it. As always, expert calibration of an Hdtv such as the 65-Inch 1080p Hd Plasma Tc-P65S2 Tv is all the time best.

The Panasonic Tc-P65S2 comes with a few distinct preset video settings like Game and Cinema and I find them useful, actually. When watching movies, you should without fail use the Cinema setting and when gaming, set it to Game so it creates good black levels while addition unabridged color levels.

Overall, I am very happy with my Panasonic Tc-P65S2 65-Inch 1080p Plasma Hdtv.

A Pdp (plasma display panel) is tasteless to larger Hdtvs such as the Panasonic Tc-P65S2. It is because they rely on plasma cells that they are called plasma screens (or televisions). The plasma cells that make up the Tc-P65S2 are essentially tiny fluorescent lamps (millions of them). These lamps are compartmentalized in the middle of two glass panels.

The Panasonic Lumix Dmc Fx40 is up against some pretty stiff competition when it comes to pocket sized digital cameras. To try and make the Lumix Dmc Fx40 stand out from the crowd Panasonic has included an ultra wide angle lens. A wide angle lens helps you squeeze more of a wide scene into a photo. So this could be a big attraction to you if you like to take a lot of sweeping scenery shots or groups of people.

As with other cameras in this series you can increase the whole of zoom available if you are ready to shoot at lower resolutions. Doing this will save space on the memory card and can also increase the capability of the pictures you take.

Another big attraction aside from the ultra wide zoom lens could be the High Definition movie mode. Although I would not claim that this can fully replace a camcorder, you cannot zoom in and out while recording for a start, this can come in handy if you want to fire off the occasional movie clip without carrying your camcorder around with you.

With dimensions of 95.3 x 52.9 x 21.5mm the Lumix Dmc Fx40 will fit into most pockets without much of a problem. Panasonic has created black, silver and red versions. In terms of create I would recite it as a simple, unfussy camera. It has a smooth, matt finish. This helps to give the camera a feeling of quality. It weighs 128g without a battery or memory card. This makes it one of the more lightweight digital cameras.

I found this camera easy to use. Just how complex you find it depends to a large degree on how many of the features you plan to take benefit of. The menu runs to three and a half pages, with an added set up menu. Items such as the resolution, focusing mode and white balance are changed through the menu system. So it is inherent you will not feel the need to delve into the menu too often. When you do you should find it a straightforward task to find the setting you wish to change, even if you need to scroll through a few screens first.

On the back of the Lumix Dmc Fx40 in the top right hand angle is a control dial. You use this to convert the shooting mode. For example you use the dial to place the camera in macro mode. The camera also has an iA mode. This stands for moving auto. In this mode the camera will check for coarse types of photo such as a scenery scene and set the controls accordingly to take the best inherent picture. This mode is worth testing out, but it most situations I have not noticed any essential discrepancy in photo capability in the middle of this mode and the general automatic mode.

The Lumix Dmc Fx40 nothing else but takes bright, colourful photos, but I must admit to being a diminutive disappointed with the sharpness of the more distant shots I took. This softness becomes increasingly noticeable as you move away from the centre of the shot. I have noticed this with the previous model in this series as well. This is not up to the usual high accepted set by Panasonic. It may not be a question with snapshot sized prints, but it will become noticeable with larger print sizes.

There are 40 megabytes of storehouse space built into the Panasonic Lumix Dmc Fx40. This sounds a uncostly amount, but if you are shooting at the full 12 megapixel resolution this only provides sufficient space for around 8 photos.
