Canon and Panasonic has announced their first shock and water-proof covenant camera early this year. If you are still confused which camera is best for you, here you will find some useful data and comparison in the middle of the Panasonic Lumix Dmc-Ts1 and Canon PowerShot D10.

Both the cameras are waterproof, but if you want a camera that can work around 10 meters underwater, then Powershot D10 would be your best shot. The submarine shaped D10 with its porthole-like screws and bulbous shell expresses that this digital camera is purely made for underwater. But on ground, you won't like its bulky form. D10 has easy-to-press buttons and a large Lcd screen where icons are big and nice, you still can see it quite clear even underwater. Additionally, it contains bigger screw-mouths on every angle for mounting the camera in assorted underwater grips.

While other waterproof digicam, Panasonic Lumix Dmc-Ts1 can be used up to 3 meters only underwater with a wholly separate approach. The sleek rectangular slab form has made it hard to distinguish from usual non-tough cams. So the windup is, if you care about form factor, you should go with Panasonic Lumix Ts1, Powershot D10 will be tough to fit it into a pants pocket without some serious bulging. But if you regularly go deeper than 3 meters underwater, you should go with Canon D10.

This model also records Hd videos.

Design: Unlike the Canon D10 (that looks like a toy) and the Olympus Tough (that looks plain odd), the Panasonic Lumix Dmc-Ts1 camera literally looks normal, even a puny popular ,favorite so you can literally use in on a regular night out without attracting strange glares. It is a ageement model, measuring at 3.9 x 0.9 x 2.5 inches. It comes with orange, dark green and silver. The external casing has a brushed metal desist with tiny screws on each corner. To date, it is just the most stylish/best-looking waterproof/shockproof camera in the market.

Features & Performance: The Panasonic Lumix Dmc-Ts1 digital camera has a wide array of customizations and close to 2 dozen shooting models. To date, this is my favorite rugged digital camera model. I love it for the fact that you can also use it as a regular camera without seeing like an oddball. It is also the fastest rugged digital camera model, with a shot to shot time of just 1.9 seconds. The Hd (720p) videos recorded were also very good and you can use the zoom feature while recording.
